Favorite Fall Green Smoothie

Serves 1 smoothie     adjust servings

I like to use a combination of ½ water and ½ nut milk for the liquid portion, but you could certainly do all of one if desired. This smoothie is of a thinner consistency, feel free to adjust the liquid portion as you see fit. Intentionally, this is not a very sweet green drink, so a touch of honey or stevia could be added if you prefer.

Ingredients

  • 1 ripe pear or apple, diced
  • 2 cups greens {kale, spinach, collards, romaine, etc.}
  • 1/4 cup parsley leaves
  • 2 tablespoons ground flax
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons raw unfiltered apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup liquid {see notes}
  • pinch pink Himalayan salt
  • handful ice

Instructions

  1. Besides the ice, combine all of the ingredients in a blender and process until completely smooth.
  2. Fill a glass with ice and pour in the smoothie.
  3. Stir and sip immediately.
