Soaking the cashews is not necessary for this recipe. This vegan creamy basil sauce can be used on top of anything. Pasta, grain bowls, roasted vegetables, this salad and beyond. Store extra in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup raw cashews
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 cup basil leaves
  • 1 small garlic clove
  • 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a blender, and process until completely smooth.
