Herbal coffee cold brew with maple syrup and pink Himalayan salt.
I get into weird morning drink routines.
For months at a time I’ll drink only cold brew.
And then I’ll be off coffee and drink strictly earl grey.
Then I’ll move to green smoothies with matcha.
And then back to cold brew.
And so on.
Right now though, I’m really into herbal coffees cold brew.
Most importantly adding a touch of maple syrup and pinch of pink Himalayan sea salt to balance out it’s earthy full-bodied flavors. There are a lot different herbal coffees out there. And they’re a great alternative to a regular cup. Typically they’re an earthy blend of cacao, chicory, dandelion root.
The maple syrup compliments the blend’s deepness and complexity. And the pink Himalayan salt rounds all the flavors out while supplying additional health benefits like promoting a healthy pH balance, stabilizing blood sugar levels, preventing muscle cramps and providing your body with an abundance of minerals that regular table salt cannot provide you. I don’t wanna tell you what to do but if you haven’t already started to integrate pink Himalayan salt into your life you probably should.
- 8 ounces coffee alternative, chilled {see notes}
- 4 ounces preferred milk (dairy or plant)
- 1 – 3 teaspoons maple syrup
- 1/8 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
- handful ice
- Combine the chilled coffee alternative with the milk, maple syrup, pink Himalayan salt and ice in a jar with a lid and shake until well-combined and frothy.
- Pour into into a glass and drink immediately.

I am so into these non-caffeinated drinks right now! Always switching it up and these flavors sound divine. Must try!

I get on different morning routines too. Right now it's kombucha, and it will probably change to coffee soon. Or this! I love the thought of something a little more nourishing that my normal cup. xo

I totally know what you're talking about. I have a strict morning routine (I'm not a morning person!) and I try to vary it every now and then. I can't change too much that would just confuse me. This sounds amazing. And your idea to add a hint of pink Himalayan salt is amazing. It's super important to balance the sweet flavors with a bit saltiness.
