Tropical Green Smoothie, take me away to paradise.

I love winter. I live for the snow, the stillness, the grey. I am an upstate New York girl afterall. But who can’t help, but day-dream of a tropical vacation in the middle of January? Blue skies and palm trees, the sand between your toes, breezy, salty air + a cocktail with an umbrella in your hand.

Yes, I want that. I want all of that. But for now this Tropical Green Smoothie will do just fine.

This super well-balanced smoothie is yummy enough for breakfast, an afternoon snack or even as a dessert to satisfy your sweet tooth. Heck, go bananas! You can even add some rum in there.



Tropical Green Smoothie

{makes 1 smoothie, or 2 small servings}


  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1/2 Cara Cara orange, peeled {or naval oranges will work great too}
  • 1 packed cup, chopped kale or baby spinach
  • 1/2 cup pineapple, diced
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • handful ice

Combine all the ingredients in a blender; blend until smooth.

Sip, relax and enjoy!
