When I last teamed up with Rio Luna I made you a sweet potato crostini. And they’d be perfect for the big game this weekend. Today I’m bringing you this sweet and spicy pink drink and it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day. Or any day because according to the forecast most of us need a like this boost right now.
This pink drink is a total mood booster.
This pink drink is wonderful as a cocktail with some vodka or tequila, but it’s equally delicious as a mocktail without booze. It’s a flavor bomb inspired by my favorite wintertime green juice, which is an unexpected combination of fresh beet and grapefruit juice.
The earthiness of the beets and the tartness of the grapefruit makes a stunning flavor profile. Sliced jalapeño brings the right amount of spice to the party. And a pinch of pink salt and touch of honey brings the flavors altogether.
I am proud to partner with Rio Luna because I love their mission. Rio Luna peppers are certified organic, non-GMO, fat and cholesterol-free, low calorie and kosher. They add a kick of spice without compromise and they make boring, exciting.
Rio Luna produces the highest quality organic peppers because of their committed standards. They work with trusted growing partners who use smart sustainability practices like drip irrigation, recycling initiatives and crop rotation.
You can visit the Rio Luna Organic Peppers site for coupons to purchase the jalapeños used in this pink drink at Kroger or Whole Foods.
