creamy tahini and fries

This shop has been compensated by Inmar Intelligence and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #strongrootines The everyday food I make in my home kitchen is largely influenced by my Italian heritage. Simple flavors and techniques that I grew up on – which is the foundation of my cooking skills. It’s what I know best. It’s what my husband grew up on. It’s what we’ve bonded over. But there are a few other staple recipes that we fully embrace in our home. This creamy garlic tahini sauce is one of them.

Tahini, made from ground toasted sesame seeds, is a luxuriously creamy, mildly nutty spread so good you’ll want to eat it with a spoon. The history of tahini is rich and rooted in the cultures and cuisines of Levant and Eastern Mediterranean, South Caucasus and parts of North Africa.

This creamy tahini sauce is made with just six simple ingredients that most people already have on hand. I love to drizzle it, dip it and spread it on almost everything. And it pairs especially well with Strong Roots Mixed Root Vegetable Fries.

Strong Roots is an innovative and sustainable line of delicious frozen plant-based food made without artificial flavors and GMOs. Their products have been developed with trusted farmer relationships across Europe and the United States. And, I’m super into them. For more information please visit the Strong Roots website.

From farm to freezer to oven they bring the flavor. They’re lightly coated, totally crispy and like everything on this website, naturally gluten-free. I value the Strong Roots brand because they believe in high quality, responsibly sourced, plant-based food that makes our lives easier. Because life is hard and this is easy food that I can feel good about.

Each bag of Strong Roots Mixed Root Vegetable Fries is made with non-GMO ingredients and certified vegan and has five servings containing zero trans fat and only one-hundred sixty calories. To ensure ultimate crispiness in the oven – be sure to bake them in a single layer for twenty to twenty-five minutes, turning once while cooking. How to make creamy garlic tahini sauce.

Making this garlic tahini sauce couldn’t be easier. Add the tahini, garlic, lemon juice, milk (your preference of kind), salt and pepper to a blender and process until it’s super smooth and creamy. That’s it. That’s all it takes.

If you don’t want to take out your blender, or you don’t have one on hand – you can easily prepare this in a mixing bowl with a whisk and a little elbow grease. Simply combine all of the ingredients and mix until, you guessed it – it’s super smooth and creamy.
