When I last teamed up with Rio Luna I made you a sweet potato crostini. And they’d be perfect for the big game this weekend. Today I’m bringing you a sweet and spicy pink drink that is perfect for Valentine’s Day. Or any day to kick those winter blues. Which according to the national forecast the majority of Americans are in need of a little boost right now.
This pink drink is a total mood booster.
This pink drink cocktail is wonderful with vodka or tequila, but it is equally delicious served as a mocktail sans booze. It is a flavor bomb inspired by my favorite wintertime green juice, which is an unexpected combination of fresh beet and grapefruit juice.
The earthiness of the beets and the tartness of the grapefruit makes a stunning flavor profile. Sliced jalapeño brings the right amount of spice to the party. And a pinch of pink salt and a touch of honey brings it altogether.
I love the mission of Rio Luna and I am proud to partner with them. Rio Luna peppers are certified organic, non-GMO, cholesterol-free, low calorie and kosher. And they add a kick of spice to any recipe without compromise.
Rio Luna produced the highest quality organic peppers because of their committed standards. They work with trusted growing partners who use smart sustainability practices like drip irrigation, recycling initiatives and crop rotation.
